Matthew Cross

Matthew Cross is the head of government relations and stakeholder engagement at The George Institute for Global Health, a leading global health and medical research institute. Its mission is to improve the health of millions of people worldwide by challenging the status quo and using innovative approaches to prevent and treat non- communicable diseases and injury. Matthew has over 15 years of public policy experience as a management consultant at KPMG, as the national government relations manager at The Property Council of Australia, and as an advisor to two Premiers of New South Wales in Australia.


Matthew has a master's degree in public administration from Harvard University, and a bachelor's degree (honors) and a master's degree in the studies of the United States from the University of Sydney. He is an alumnus of the American Council of Young Political Leaders (ACYPL) as a member of an Australian delegation visiting the United States in 2013.
